beautiful gardens and woodland, with private walks leading down to the banks of the River Boyne
and has the benefit of private fishing in idyllic surroundings.
The surrounding area is steeped in historic sites: the World Heritage UNESCO site of
Brú na Boinne at Newgrange, the neolithic sites of Knowth and Dowth, Loughcrew Cairns, Trim Castle and the
Hill of Tara are a short drive away. The ruins of Dunmoe Castle are adjacent to the property. Slane Castle is a 5 minute
drive from the house.
For golfing enthusiasts Abhainn Lodge is within a short drive of many famous courses including
Headfort, Royal Tara, Kileen Castle (venue for the Solheim Cup 2011) and Navan Golf course, with an
adjacent driving range. A little further afield is the famous links course at Baltray.
Abhainn Lodge is 4km from the bustling market town of Navan with excellent shopping facilities,
restaurants, cinemas and leisure centres. Dublin City is only a 45 minute drive from Abhainn Lodge.
There are many beautiful beaches and harbours within 30 minutes from the property.
